Worth noting: The Rockets won the inaugural KRC championship with one loss. Addie Halverson, the KRC Player of the Year, had the second most kills (351) in the area and is now at NCAA D-I Jacksonville State. R-B came up a win short of back-to-back regional titles. Dean led the way with 604 assists, and Kayla Malec had 117 kills and 42 blocks. Suhr made the all-KRC team. "I'm excited for the new talent we have this year," Kaywood said. "We have a lot of girls that are very athletic and can play a variety of positions. The senior leadership is strong this year." (NWHerald 8/20/17)
