Richmond-Burton’s Hunter Volkmar shot a seven-over-par 79 to lead the Rockets to victory in the Sandwich invitational at Edgebrook Golf Course in Sandwich. Volkmar was only four strokes off the medalist, while his teammates, Jackson Bolman and Connor Lindley, both carded 80 to tie for third.
The Rockets’ Matt Eskuri and Everett Robinson each shot 84 to tie for eighth.
Richmond-Burton finished with a team score of 323, beating second-place Aurora Central Catholic (347) by 24 strokes. (NWHerald 8/16/17)
