Week 1 preview: Game capsules~ Wauconda at Richmond-Burton

About the Bulldogs: Wauconda was 5-5 last season, making the playoffs for the third time in five years. The Bulldogs lost to Antioch in the first round of Class 6A playoffs.
About the Rockets: R-B was 6-4 last year and has made the playoffs in the last 10 seasons, the second-longest current streak among area teams. … RB Shane Byrne carried for 607 yards last season and returns in the backfield. Junior RBs Jimmy Horner and Mike Kaufman will also get time carrying the ball, giving R-B good backfield depth. (NWHerald 8/25/17)
